Get the inside scoop on the Art Gallery of Guelph's outdoor artworks! Join us for a free guided tour of the Donald Forster Sculpture Park on Friday, April 26 from 12:15 to 12:45 pm. The tour will begin at Canadiana/Begging Bear. Comfortable walking shoes, a water bottle, and a camera are recommended. Tour is limited to 20 participants. Please register here in advance.  

Wellness Friday- The Science of Happiness

Scientific studies have shown that 50% of our individual differences in happiness are determined by our genes, 10% by our life circumstances, and 40% by our intentional activities. This one-hour session will introduce participants to some of the research-based “happy habits” that can be adopted to increase levels of happiness and well-being. Facilitator: Homewood Health

Community BBQ for Faculty and Staff

Safety and Security for Front Line Staff

Front line staff members are normally the first contact for clients and/or visitors. Learn how difficult situations can be dealt with effectively while maintaining a safe and secure environment. Participants will gain confidence and knowledge of safety and security within the work place. Please bring a pen and notebook with you to this workshop. Come prepared for in class training. This program is for all front line staff members dealing with staff, students, visitors.

Visual Journaling

Back by popular demand!  If you've already done this workshop, please allow new participants to register and participate in this session.  Much of our lives are dominated by the spoken and written word, which requires us to articulate what we think, feel, and believe. By allowing ourselves to express through the visual language of art (which simply requires a willingness to be open and playful), we can learn more about ourselves, care for our thoughts, emotions, and overall wellness in a creative, renewing way.

CANCELLED- Spring DIY Time: Tune Up Your Bike

Come pop by the CSA Bike Centre to learn some tips and tricks to get your bike ready for the Spring.  This service offers access to the tools, parts, and training necessary for bicycle maintenance, along with a team of volunteers that are available to assist users and facilitate learning. Workshops are hosted by experienced technicians who educate and create awareness about bicycle maintenance and safety and address bicycle-related oppression issues. Spend as long as you like tuning up your bike and ask questions you have to the CSA volunteers.
