Celebrate national Garden Days in Guelph with free garden tours of the Arboretum’s World of Trees, Riverside Park’s floral clock and the Conservatory Gardens at the University of Guelph. Learn about the special plantings for Canada’s 150th birthday.

Guided Walk Through the Arboretum

Join Jason every Wednesday at 12:15 as he explores the grounds on a 50 minute hike. It is a wonderful way to explore as spring migrants return and life blooms on The Arboretum grounds. The walk is free.

Classical Yoga is a particularly effective and efficient system to not only stretch, tone and develop the muscles but stimulate robust health in all systems of the body.  Regular practice can relieve stress and anxiety and promote mental concentration.

Sketching Nature in the Arboretum

Focusing on sketching techniques and note taking, this workshop is for those who want a permanent record of their observations of nature.  It is designed for beginners, so don't be shy!  Sketch books and pencils provided.  Arboretum Interpretive Naturalist Intern:  Alexandra Kocher.  Early Bird Fee: $35.00 if done on or before Wednesday, May 31. Registrations after this date will cost $45.00.  Note: If we don't have enough registrations by the early bird deadline the course may be cancelled. Maximum 20 adults.

Introduction to Health and Safety by EHS

This lunch and learn is designed to provide members of Joint Health and Safety Committees (JHSC) or Health and Safety Representative with an overview of their roles and powers under the Occupational Health and Safety Act of Ontario. Discussion will provide insights into the structure of JHSCs at the University of Guelph and locations of H&S Reps at U of G research stations. All interested staff are welcome to attend, especially those currently involved as members of Joint Health and Safety Committees or H&S Reps.

With more than 40 years of yoga experience, Sri Ananda Ji developed Ananda Yoga to help the body and mind.
