Hands-on Seed Paper Creation Workshop

Learn to make beautiful homemade paper embedded with native wildflower seeds. All materials will be provided in this hands-on workshop that uses recycled items and a simple DIY process. Participants will take home several pieces of handmade seed paper to plant in the garden or in a natural area. Once established, native plants need little care and provide important habitat for threatened pollinators and other wildlife species. Register now!

Note: Please bring your yoga mat for a brief yoga ​practice before the talk. Meriel aims to ensure trauma-informed safe spaces for all people to experience Yoga On Tuesday, June 7 @ 12:00pm (EDT), a highly respected grassroots activist, facilitator, yoga practitioner, and speaker, Meriel Goss will be speaking about “Trauma, Yoga and Sensory Repair: Exploring the neurobiology of chronic trauma experiences and interoception in healing".

Anxiety: Skills & Strategies

This group program meets once a week for 3 weeks to develop and practice skills in decreasing the uncomfortable sensations of anxiety. A variety of long and short self-calming techniques are introduced, along with behaviours that can help prevent escalation of anxiety.  All techniques in this program have originated from research into strategies which decrease anxiety. They have been well studied and the most up-to-date information will be presented.
