Take the Stress Out of IBS

The two greatest triggers of Irritable Bowel symptoms and altered gastrointestinal function are... STRESS and DIET. There is a strong relationship between our brain, our emotions, and how our gastrointestinal (GI) tract is functioning. This program teaches the most effective relaxation and lifestyle strategies to improve this relationship and positively impact IBS symptoms. These approaches are helpful for those with IBS, and for people with a stressed stomach, who would like to better regulate their digestive system.

Take a Paws

University of Guelph STAFF and FACULTY:  Is work hounding you?  Take a paws from your meetings, report writing, studies and deadlines, to chill out with certified comfort dogs.  Five dogs and their owners will be available for small group visits of 15 minutes each. Please register early; spaces fill up quickly! Therapy dogs are experienced, fully vaccinated and insured.  Although they're clean and well-groomed, not all dogs are hypoallergenic.  Please do not bring any food or drinks to this event.

Wednesday Walks at the Arboretum

Nature is known to be unpredictable and unexpected, so what awaits us today?  Rachel, the Arboretum's Naturalist Intern, will be leading 1 hour long walks every Wednesday.  Walks start at The Arboretum kiosk at 12:15 p.m.   For further information contact Rachel at rirwin@uoguelph.ca or ext. 52363.  The hike may be cancelled if there is inclement weather.
