The Working Mind For People Managers- Part 1

Workplaces are playing a greater role in promoting positive mental health among employees. The Working Mind (TWM) is an evidence-based training developed by the Mental Health Commission of Canada designed to provide practical knowledge and skills to address mental health in the workplace.

U of G on Tour: Get to know your campus Athletics & Recreation Facilities!

Looking to start a new fitness or wellness journey? Did you know that all staff/faculty on campus have access to a subsidized rate to use the on-campus facilities? Join us on a tour of what programming/services and equipment are available to our staff/faculty members and why the Athletic facilities might just be the best fit for you! Attendees of this tour will receive a free day pass for recreation in the Guelph Gryphons Athletics Centre, including access to the Fitness Centre and / or a fitness class, to use at their convenience!

Women's Only Swim

Athletics is opening their Women’s only swim in March for staff and faculty to attend for free! No membership is required. Staff should enter through Client Services to register for their free swim pass. Everyone should enter the pool through the changerooms. Locks are available for rent for $1 or you may bring your own lock. Bags are not permitted on deck and all belongings should be secured in a locked locker. Interactive Cooking with Hospitality Services: Sustainable and Affordable Eating (In-Person)

Join Hospitality Services Registered Dietitian, Jessie, and Sous Chef, Dale, for a low cost and low waste interactive cooking class. Jessie will start with a presentation reviewing some of the considerations for sustainable and affordable cooking at home, followed by a demonstration from Chef Dale and an opportunity for attendees to cook recipes themselves. Mental Health First Aid

Developed by the Mental Health Commission Canada, this 2-day certification course focuses on the four most common mental health disorders including substance-related, mood-related, anxiety and trauma-related, and psychotic disorders.
