Get Real: How to be Authentic

Research shows that being authentic and having a healthy self-esteem are keys to a happy, healthy, more meaningful existence. “Just be yourself” sounds easy, but can be surprisingly hard to do. Harshman Lecture Series: Talking about Death Won't Kill You

The Harshman Lecture Series is a speaker series presented by the Department of Family Relations and Applied Nutrition in honour of the late Dr. J. P. Harshman and in recognition of the contributions of the Harshman Foundation. The Lecture Series are free, community wide events, with speakers discussing issues relevant to families.  This year, we are thrilled to welcome Dr. Kathy Kortes-Miller, as Assistant Professor at the School of Social Work and the Palliative Care Research Lead at the Centre for Education and Research on Aging and Health at Lakehead University.
